About

Revolution of human life in the world has been influencing to the transformation of human behavior in appreciating and creating art and design. In addition, global culture can strongly dictate local culture which people  are required to be adaptive in facing this situation. Adaptation to the world changes in an integrated and global manner is a step towards sustainability. Therefore, the The 4th International Conference on Arts and Design Education (ICADE) proposes the conference theme “Arts and Design Education for Sustainable Development.”

Through this International Conference on Arts and Design Education (ICADE), we invite academics, researchers, observers, practitioners in the fields of arts and design to discuss the happening problems. We offer "Arts and Design Education for Sustainable Development" topic as a dynamic concept for understanding local problems in a global context and realizing that solutions to local problems can have global consequences.

The 4th International Conference on Arts and Design Education (ICADE) is a conference hosted by Faculty of Arts and Design Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. This conference will be held on September 21st, 2021, through Zoom Webinar. ICADE has covered a broad range of topics on music, dance, drama/ theatre, visual arts, visual communication design, arts education, film and television, and multidisciplinary arts fields.

This conference aims to share and exchange knowledge and practices for academician, educators, researchers, practitioners, graduate and post graduate students, and art entrepreneurs from different cultural backgrounds and nationality to widely present and exchange their recent knowledge, and latest research in fields of performing arts, arts education and the practices, as well as multidisciplinary arts field. This event will also build initial global partners for future collaboration and promoting new ideas, innovation, and creativity. All selected papers will be published in the proceedings indexed by  Scopus, Web of  Science, and Google scholar.
