Prof. Dr. H. Sunaryo Kartadinata, M.Pd. (born March 21, 1950), is a UPI professor who currently serves as the Indonesian Ambassador to Uzbekistan since 7 January 2019, he also serves as the General Chairperson of ISPI for the 2014-2019 period and was the Chancellor of the Indonesian University of Education (UPI) for two periods, 2005-2010 and 2010-2015. Sunaryo was listed as the 7th rector since UPI was named IKIP Bandung, and was the 9th Leader of the Bumi Siliwangi Campus since it was named PTPG Bandung.
Sunaryo is Professor of Education in Guidance and Counseling, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Sunaryo's career began when he was appointed as a lecturer at the alma mater where he studied, namely IKIP Bandung (now UPI). Young Sunaryo was known as an active, hardworking, and broad-minded lecturer among his peers. Sunaryo is noted to have held positions as Secretary of the Guidance and Counseling Department of FIP IKIP Bandung (1980), Assistant Dean I of FIP IKIP Bandung (1988), Head of Guidance and Counseling Study Program of PPs IKIP Bandung (1995), and Assistant Chancellor II of IKIP Bandung/UPI (1996).
Henry Spiller is an ethnomusicologist whose research focuses on Sundanese music and dance from West Java, Indonesia. He is interested particularly in investigating how individuals deploy music and dance in their personal lives to articulate ethnic, gender, and national identities. He has studied Sundanese music and dance for more than 30 years, and he has conducted fieldwork in Bandung, West Java, on many occasions.
ABC-CLIO published his first book, Gamelan: The Traditional Sounds of Indonesia, in 2004. It was named an Outstanding Academic Title by CHOICE. In 2008 Routledge released a second edition under the title Focus: Gamelan Music of Indonesia. His monograph, Erotic Triangles: Sundanese Dance and Masculinity in West Java, published by the University of Chicago Press in 2010, focuses on constructions of masculinity in Sundanese men’s improvisational dance in West Java, Indonesia. It received Honorable Mention for the 2011 Alan Merriam Prize, the Society for Ethnomusicology’s most prestigious book award.

Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Ahmad bin Zainuddin used to be a professor at the Department of Art and Design, Universiti College Yayasan Pahang, Malaysia.
Dr. Hj. Een Herdiani S.Sen, M.Hum., was born in the small town of Ciamis, southeast of West Java. After tasting primary and junior secondary education in his hometown, he then continued his education until he graduated from SMKI Bandung. He fought for his great desire to study, especially dance, until he completed his D3 level at ASTI Bandung, and then obtained a bachelor's degree (S1) in arts from STSI Surakarta.
The woman, who from a young age was able to learn independently with the ability to dance, then continued her education at graduate school to obtain a master's degree at Gadjah Mada University and a doctorate (S3) in art history from Padjadjaran University, Bandung. During his education and at the same time as an art teacher, he was also a part of the delegation of Indonesian art ambassadors abroad.
Dance practitioners, academics and educators who do not forget their duties as a wife, until now continue to devote their attention and abilities to the preservation of traditional arts. His daily duties now are as Chancellor of the Indonesian Cultural Arts Institute (ISBI) Bandung.
Juju Masunah is a professor of art education at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. She is currently serving as head of Art Education Study Program, School of Postgraduate Studies, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia for both master’s and doctorate degrees.
